I am a painter working in acrylics and oils. My work ranges from landscape to pure abstract, but is always about emotion and atmosphere. I am influenced by visual artists such as Turner, Monet, Rothko and Kandinsky but also by musicians as diverse as John Coltrane, Philip Glass and Led Zeppelin.
The works exhbitied here at Art On The Hill are all inspired by music; either the rhythm and pace, imagery and themes, or just a subconcious reaction to it. I am fascinated by how the seemingly very different artforms of painting and music can be reconciled.
